What is Home Safe and Smart?
Home Safe and Smart (HSS) is Vest’s comprehensive program to help you successfully age in place. HSS combines home therapy, smart technology and home modifications into one complete service.
How Does Home Safe and Smart Work?
- A Vest OT comes to your home to go over your goals, home environment and create a plan. You and the OT select the devices, home modifications and technology that will help you meet your goals.
- Vest contractors and ATPs make modifications, install technology, and train you and your caregiver how to use and take full advantage of the equipment and improvements.
- Vest OTs also train you on the essential techniques and strategies to successfully age in place. They help with medication management, strength and balance, assistive technology and even your memory and cognition.
- HSS includes follow up visits, calls, and video chats as needed to ensure you are thriving at home.
